"The Triadic Ballet" is a ground-breaking avant-garde dance performance created by German artist Oskar Schlemmer in 1924. While it is primarily known as a ballet, it was more of a futuristic theatrical spectacle that combined elements of dance, costume design, and abstract art.

The ballet was named "Triadic" because it was divided into three acts, each representing a different colour scheme: yellow, pink, and black. Schlemmer's choreography, costumes, and set design were highly innovative for their time, featuring geometric shapes, stylized movements, and abstract forms.

The dancers wore elaborate costumes that resembled geometric shapes and abstract sculptures, often restricting their movement and transforming them into living, moving artworks. The costumes were made of materials like metal, cardboard, and fabric, emphasizing their artificial and otherworldly appearance.

The set design and props were also geometric and abstract, featuring oversized shapes and bold colours that created a visually striking backdrop for the dancers.
