Lion Roar

The lion (scientifically known as Panthera leo) is a large, carnivorous mammal that belongs to the family Felidae. Known for its majestic appearance, strength, and iconic mane in males, they are one of the four big cats in the genus Panthera.
Lions are native to various parts of Africa and a small population exists in the Gir Forest of India.

Lions are the second-largest living cats, after tigers. Adult males can reach a length of about 8 to 10 feet (2.4 to 3 meters) from the head to the tip of the tail. They typically weigh between 330 and 550 pounds (150 to 250 kilograms).
Females are smaller, measuring around 7 to 9 feet (2.1 to 2.7 meters) in length and weighing between 265 and 400 pounds (120 to 180 kilograms).

Lions are classified as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Their population has declined significantly due to habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and poaching.
Conservation efforts focus on protecting their natural habitats, reducing conflicts with local communities, and combating illegal hunting and trade.
