The Pamplona Bull Run, also known as the Running of the Bulls or Encierro, is a famous and traditional event that takes place annually in the city of Pamplona, Spain. It is part of the larger San Fermín festival, which is held from July 7th to 14th each year.

The tradition of the bull run dates back several centuries and has deep roots in Spanish culture. The event begins each morning from July 7th to July 14th, where a group of bulls are released onto the streets of Pamplona. Participants, often dressed in white with red handkerchiefs around their necks, gather in the narrow, cobblestone streets to run ahead of the charging bulls.

The bull run course stretches for approximately 875 meters, starting at the corral where the bulls are released and ending in the city's bullring. The actual run lasts for just a few minutes, but the adrenaline rush and the risk involved make it a heart-pounding experience. The narrow streets and sharp corners add to the challenge, requiring runners to stay alert and agile to avoid the bulls and potential stampedes.

The Pamplona Bull Run attracts a diverse international crowd, including thrill-seekers, adventurers, and curious spectators. It has been depicted in various forms of media, most notably in Ernest Hemingway's novel "The Sun Also Rises," which helped popularize the event outside of Spain.
