Takahashi Shōtei, also known as Hiroaki Takahashi, was a prominent Japanese artist known for his woodblock prints during the early 20th century. He was born in Tokyo in 1871 and started his artistic career as a student of Kaburagi Kiyokata, a renowned painter and printmaker.

Takahashi Shōtei primarily focused on creating landscape and genre prints, often depicting scenes of traditional Japanese life, landscapes, and landmarks. His works were influenced by the shin-hanga movement, which sought to revive and blend traditional ukiyo-e woodblock print techniques with modern Western aesthetics. His style combined the traditional elements of Japanese woodblock prints with more realistic and naturalistic depictions.
